Mason Youth Council
The Mason Youth Council aims to bridge the gap between youth and local government. Members provide a youth perspective on current issues the Mason City Council is tackling and organize a youth event at the end of their term. Ultimately, this platform helps the youth build leadership skills that go beyond the classroom and empower students to be agents of change in their community.​
Presented in collaboration with Mason Mayor Nelson, City Council Member Bennett, and MasonVotes.​

Responsibilities:

Provide a youth perspective on current issues the city government is tackling

Present issues related to Mason youth to the City Council and ensure they are addressed

Organize and conduct outreach for a youth event at end of your term

Meet biweekly on the 2nd & 4th Thursday from 5:00 - 6:30 PM of each month at the Mason Municipal Center
