About Us.
MasonVotes is a student-led organization dedicated towards building a tight-knit community among youth voters in Mason, Ohio.
Through Gen-Z tailored community events, we expose students to a variety of civic issues in our city and empower them to design innovative solutions. Our focus on civil discourse and human connection helps youth recognize they too have a stake in their community. They too possess a voice in today's political landscape.

Alisa Zhao
Founder & Executive Director
Alisa Zhao is passionate about voter engagement and the political process. She aims to increase teenager and young adult civic participation in her community. In school, she's an active member of her school speech and debate team, where she competes in Original Oratory. In her free time, she loves reading historical fiction and drawing in all types of mediums.
Zoe Fowler
Event Lead
​Zoe Fowler loves reading, music, fencing, and running. She has been passionate about encouraging voter efficacy since being a poll worker in the 2023 election, when she was told that a 30% turnout was considered high.
Aarin Sharma
GOTV Coordinator
Aarin Sharma is the co-captain of Mason Mock Trial and an avid political debater! In his free time, he likes to binge episodes of How to Get Away with Murder and Suits.

Founding Partner & Marketing Director
Dania loves English and History. She enjoys learning about government, planning to major in political science & become a lawyer. In her free time, she likes to read and spend time with her friends, family, and cat.
Nethra Gunda
Event Lead
Nethra loves politics and government. She's heavily involved in speech and debate and a variety of other activities that have allowed her interest in politics to grow. She's excited to be a part of the Mason Votes team and can’t wait for the Mason community to experience all the activities planned!
Gustavo Cruz
Web Content Developer
Gustavo is passionate about politics, particularly as they relate to his native Puerto Rico. He plans on majoring in Political Science hopes to be involved in Puerto Rican politics in the future. He enjoys his social studies courses, and participates in the Model UN and Spanish clubs at his school. He’s a huge sci-if fan, but also loves reading books and watching movies and TV about history and politics. In his spare time he enjoys playing with his two dogs, hanging out with his friends, and listening to music, from Bad Bunny to Kendrick Lamar to Pink Floyd.
